Hi to all our followers. Yes we have left but have been rather busy visiting family and tonight we are enjoying our first night in the camper trailer in Port Augusta. I am entering this blog on the laptop in our tent with our wifi unit whilst Liam and Jake are accessing the same wifi unit with their ipod touches. Technology has come a long way since I was a boy camping.
We left Melbourne almost 1 and a half hours late after finally getting the house ready for our renters. We left with the car bursting with lots of luggage and provisions for our long trip. The boys were excited to see there cousins in Bendigo and then met my cousins in Mildura, Redcliffes and Gol Gol. Many thanks to KT and Michael in Bendigo and Bernie and Mario in Gol Gol for their hospitality.
Today we set off from Gol Gol to Port Augusta, it took us just under 7 and a half hours of driving. Hard work but this driving will give us more time to spend up north at a leisurely pace.
