Coober Pedy 2nd day

Today we had a day to tour coober pedy, no packing up no driving for long hours. We noticed a footy oval and were surprised that it had green grass. The only green grass we have noticed for the last two days. Of course we had a footy handy and had to have a kick. We had the oval all to ourselves but it was no MCG. But considering its location it was a modern miracle that it had grass
Jake roosting the ball from about 20 metres out.

We also took the time to attend church Coober Pedy style.

The final site for the day was a local opal mine with museum, tour and information movie. We learnt that it is more expensive to purchase a 5 bedroom house underground than above ground in coober pedy. The boys were very interested and enjoyed the mine.

We pack up again tomorrow and head to the border of SA and NT for a night and then travel to Uluru. We wont have any power at our camp site so we wont be able to update our blog. I'm, sure you can all cope.

We are all looking forward to seeing the big rock in the flesh. Speak to you soon.
